Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity >
Pursuing An Internship

We offer Business Communications internship opportunities to college/university, trade school or graduate school students. Internships are offered on a semester basis and interested candidates must be 18 years or older to apply for any internships.

Our internships will allow students to volunteer in a range of capacities in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, and Video Technology. Students will work with our staff members, homeowners, and the ReStore Aurora Team to create marketing material such as:

  • Advertisements
  • Photography& Video
  • Conduct Interviews
  • Google Technology
  • Social Media
  • Develop & Execute a Fundraising Event

Our internships are excellent opportunities for students to gain practical real-world work experience and learn new skills while completing a degree. Students are also able to use internships for course-work credit with the approval of their institution. It is the intern's responsibility to coordinate communication between their academic institution and Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity Internship Program Coordinator, Barb Zegiel.

To get started, create a profile and upload your resume at Handshake. Handshake partners with schools and employers and gives you the access to apply for internships and jobs not available anywhere else. Search internships on Handshake for Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity and submit your resume. Barb Zegiel will then get in touch with you to discuss your resume and the possibilities of an internship with us. Barb can be reached at b.zegiel@foxvalleyhabitat.org for information or questions about the program.
