Why the ReStore... Reuse...Your donation of new or gently used items kept tons of waste out of landfills. Last year Habitat eliminated nearly 1 million pounds of waste from Lake County landfills. Reduce...The ReStore accepts new and gently used building materials, non-upholstered furniture, newer appliances less than 10 years old, and more. ReStore...Donated products are sold to the public at discounts 50% to 90% below retail. Funds raised support Habitat's home building program in Lake County. |
Everyone wins at the ReStore Donors win......with a nice tax deduction and clearing out space. Customers win......with great bargains for their homes, offices, congregation, agency, etc Volunteers win......by serving alongside and helping Habitat Partner Families who are working towards home ownership and our awesome staff and other volunteers. And you have a chance to preview our ever-changing inventory. Volunteers also get a chance to preview our ever-changing inventory. Lake County residents win......because every home built by Habitat eliminates a blighted home or vacant property where property taxes are paid. In 2014 Habitat Partner Families paid over $600,000 in property taxes. |
