For nearly 30 years, Dow has supported Habitat through its donation of energy-efficient home insulation solutions, extensive employee volunteerism and financial contributions. Dow products or funding have supported more than 25,000 homes in 22 countries.
Hunter Douglas has been a national partner of Habitat since 1992, donating and delivering its custom-made window fashions for the privacy rooms of new and rehab Habitat homes in the United States and Canada and at cost for the other rooms of the house – to date more than 200,000 have been supplied. Many Hunter Douglas employees across North America participate in Habitat builds as well.
Schneider Electric has donated more than $24 million worth of electrical equipment—Square D by Schneider Electric and Juno by Schneider Electric—to build homes in the United States, Canada and Mexico since 2000. In addition, the company has donated more than $4 million worth of funding to help cover the cost of land, infrastructure and homebuilding materials.
The founding partner with Habitat’s A Brush with Kindness program and Habitat’s national paint partner, Valspar has donated more than $60 million in cash and paint contributions to Habitat for Humanity.
In more than 11 years of partnership with Habitat for Humanity, Whirlpool Corporation has developed active partnerships in 22 countries with a commitment nearing $72 million. In North America, the company has donated more than 130,000 ranges and ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerators to new Habitat homes, serving 65,000 families.
Since 2005 Mobile Mini storage units allow Habitat affiliates across the United States to have a safe and convenient place to keep tolls and other building materials during home-construction projects.
Cree has supported Habitat for Humanity by providing lightbulbs for new construction and rehab homes throughout the U.S. since 2010. Cree provides the ENERGY STAR-qualified CR6 downlights, designed to last for 50,000 hours while consuming 85 percent less energy than incandescent downlights. It also provides the Cree LED 60-watt replacement bulb, which looks like an incandescent bulb, emitting warm, omnidirectional light and is designed to use 85 percent less energy over a 25,000-hour lifetime.
Infiltrator will donate one residential septic tank and drainfield for use on a HFH home construction project to up to 50 affiliates per year.
