About the Annual Swing fore Housing Golf Invitational
DuPage Habitat for Humanity will host its Annual Swing fore Housing Golf Invitational at Seven Bridges Golf Club in Woodridge, Illinois on Thursday, September 19, 2019. This golf outing is a Liberty Mutual Invitational, one of sixty-six events played across the country. The event features a hole-in-one grand prize trip for two golfers to St. Andrews, Scotland + $2,500 in cash, along with over $350 in golfer giveaways. The winning foursome will receive an invitation to play in the National Finals at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina, home of The Ocean Course along with Cobra King F9 Drivers.
Now in its 12th year, 144 golfers are drawn to this exclusive event. Attendees will include corporate sponsors, business and philanthropic leaders, underwriters and distinguished guests.
A challenging day of golf will be capped off with a cocktail reception, an awards luncheon, and silent auction. You will not want to miss the opportunity to bid on our unparalleled auction items.
100% of the proceeds raised by the Annual Swing fore Housing Invitational will continue to go directly to helping families build strength, stability and self-reliance through safe and affordable housing.

Format & Rules
Our Invitational tournament is a scramble style competition. The scramble format enables golfers of varying levels of skill to participate in a competitive yet enjoyable tournament. Amateur golfers will play in teams of four. Each team must have a combined USGA Handicap Index of at least 43.0. Only one player per team may have a USGA Handicap Index of 8.0 or below.
This is the format used at the National Finals. If your foursome wins the Annual Swing fore Housing Golf Invitational, you will earn an invitation to compete in the 72-hole National Finals at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort. The tournament will be held March 18-22, 2020 and played on the renowned Ocean Course, Cougar Point and Turtle Point courses.
Finals Tournament Format
This year’s National Finals will be a 72-hole cumulative scramble tournament. Your team will play at three Tour-quality courses:
The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort was the host of the 1991 Ryder Cup, 2007 Senior PGA Championship, 2012 PGA Championship and will be the host of the 2021 PGA.The Ocean Course is the fourth course to have hosted each of the PGA of America’s major championships and is ranked 25th among the 100 Greatest U.S. Golf Courses by Golf Digest.
