Shopping & Donating Safely at our Habitat ReStores
Our ReStores have ReOpened!
If this will be your first visit in a while, there are a few things you need to know. The safety of customers, volunteers and staff are our foremost concerns. We have created updated protocols and rules in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that you should know before visiting the ReStore.
Shopping and donating with us is going to look a little different at the ReStore. We have developed safety procedures to keep everyone in the store safe.
Stay home when you feel sick. We are thrilled to be welcoming people back into the ReStore, but please wait until you are healthy. We ask that customers hold off on in-person ReStore shopping until you are feeling well and not exhibiting any symptoms.
Staff & volunteers will be wearing masks and requiring shoppers to do so as well. Wearing your mask helps you, us and everyone in the ReStore family to stay healthy.
Only touch merchandise when necessary. Although it is a temptation while shopping to want to hold and grasp items, but we ask that this is kept to a minimum and that customers do not loiter on the furniture.
Come prepared to load items yourself. Contactless pickup will remain in effect for both in-store and online purchases. While we would like to help, due to social distancing protocols we ask that you bring all the help you might need. We will also not be using plastic or reusable bags.
Staff will sanitize shopping carts and registers to ensure a safe shopping experience. We recognize that not every purchase necessitates a shopping cart, we ask that each party of 2 takes a cart in order to implement social distancing.
Please review all of our COVID-19 safety rules before you shop with us and take note of any signage in the ReStore.
When dropping off donations, we are following a no contact policy for the foreseeable future. Our staff is small and can only help one donor at a time safely at the donation dock.
When dropping off an item, wait in your vehicle until your donation is approved. Once your donation is approved by a team member, we are asking donors to bring donations to the dock where they can be picked up by our donation team. Items dropped off without being approved will likely be thrown out, creating additional waste and expense for the ReStore.
Although we are thankful for each and every donation, due to space issues we are not able to take every single item that is brought to us. Please check out our donation guidelines prior to donating with us.
We will be starting back up with donation pickups soon. To request a pick up, fill out a donation form on our website and let us help you find a home for items that you no longer want or need.
