Kindness from the heart
A word from our Volunteer Coordinator, Julie Clark
Future homeowners- Lawella, Carmen, & Rubi Debbi (Director of Operations) & Julie (Volunteer Coordinator)
"Family is not about blood. It is about who is willing to hold your hand when you need it the most." This is very true among our homeowners and our staff at Fox Valley Habitat. I'm Julie, the Volunteer Coordinator at FVHH. The three amazing ladies pictured decided to make tamales, rice, and baked goods for lunch at one of our build sites as a fundraiser for my 17 year old son Lukas. He has been fighting the ugly battle of cancer the past few months, but with the support of family and friends, this journey has been more bearable. Even when times are tough for these families, they all pull together and help others out. This is why we choose the families that we do! Thank you to all of you that have welcomed my family into yours and have given us love and hope at a difficult time. I truly appreciate you and your generosity. #TeamLukas #Weallfighttogether - Julie
